Water Sports

Noosaville is a perfect destination for the adventurous. The coastline close to this city offers hours of fun for the sporting enthusiast. Take a ride on the Oceanrider that will spin your on the warm waters. This is a safe ride, and they offer all the prerequisite safety gear and a training session before they start this joy ride. This boat ride is an exhilarating experience as the guide opens up the throttle and leads the boat towards the waves on the Noosa Bar. A Day Trip to Fraser Island

Fraser Island is about 79 miles away from Noosaville. This is the world's largest sand island and it is 123 km long and 15 km wide. A spectacular island that has vegetation covering the sands and over 40 freshwater lakes with lush rainforests. This World Heritage site has an unique landscape, with huge creeping sand deserts, crystal clear freshwater lakes, ancient ferns and hardwood forests, barren lands at one end and tall rainforests on the other. Explore this amazing island with it's colored sand cliffs and white sand beaches that lead to blood red streams. Woodford Folk Festival

The Woodfort Folk festival is a spectacular display of art form with cultural and ritualistic influences. This is held annually between December and January. Woodfort is over 104 km from Noosaville, but it is an interesting trip the experience one of Australia's largest and most colorful art events that has appeal for every age group. Make a trip and pitch your tent among thousands of others that creates a tent city in the midst of the forest. This festival attracts over 80,000 people, who arrive to watch the numerous artists who congregate at this venue from different countries and walks of life. There are more than 2000 performers and 400 events. They showcase dances, concerts, writer's panel, film festival and workshops. There is a special segment focused on Children's festival with theater workshops and entertainment. Visitors enjoy the traditional folk dances of the aboriginal community and the night cabarets. This permanent festival site is located on a farm land with facilities for camping, there are ponds and showers too. There are music tents and it also has one of the steepest natural amphitheaters on this coast. A wonderful experience as the performers, artists and musicians tell a story, dance, sing and entertain the crowds with spectacular shows that tell stories of legends and past heroes. The Crocodile Hunter's Australian Zoo

The Australian Zoo is on the beautiful Sunshine coast, close to the city of Noosaville. This is the zoo that was made famous by the Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin. A devoted naturalist and animal activist, Steve Irwin, brought international attention to the plight of animals and the invasion of their natural habitation. This zoo offers some unique and exciting adventures with a full day of fun for the whole family. There is an intensive care room and veterinary facilities that treat animals like the koalas. The orphan enclosure has trained personnel, who will hand raise the koalas and help them to fend for themselves before being released, back into the bush. There are 14 show a day and there is excitement in the air at the Crocoseum as you will watch the crocodiles strike from the edge of the water in the enclosure. Visit the snakes, wombats, dingoes and the koalas. There are so many animals in as natural a habitat as possible, you can see tigers playing and rhinos watching the crowds intently. The tortoises and alligators are amusing and this is just the beginning of fun at the Australian Zoo, where the crocodile is king and not the lion! The Valley Rattler

A historic journey on an ancient train that re-enacts the true life adventure of Sergeant Moore and Trooper Knox as they escorted a large consignment of gold from the Gympie Goldfields to Imbil. This adventure is set in Gympie that is about 54 minutes drive from Noosaville. A trip that children and adults will enjoy. This re-enactment warns the visitors of peril up ahead as they expect an ambush and robbery before reaching Imbil. This steam train makes this historic trip daily and the Valley Rattler Bush-ranger Hold Up on the third Sunday of each month. The Valley Rattler as it is often called, makes the scenic journey through South East Queensland's picturesque Mary Valley. Visitors will enjoy the panoramic views of the valley from the large windows of the coaches. This historic trains makes stops at stations that are fully restored in the ambiance of the early 1900's. The stops at Amamoor and Dagun Stations are longer and the visitors can indulge in some wine and cheese tasting from the local vineyards. There are stalls that sell the local produce and handicrafts that are unique to this region. Sit back and enjoy the spectacular views of the Mary Valley and watch as the train is led through the steep slopes of the Mary River. An amazing journey back in time!

Sunshine Beach

The Sunshine Beach is a beautiful stretch of pristine sands and offers hours of fun for the entire family. Bellingham Maze

The Bellingham Maze is about 38 minutes away from Noosaville and it is one of the most popular attractions on the Sunshine Coast. The Eumundi Market is about 17 km away from the city of Noosaville. This is one of the premier artisan markets in Australia. How to get there ?

Getting into Noosaville

The closest airport is Sunshine Coast Airport at Maroochydoor. There are direct flights from Sydney that will take about 1 hour 25 minutes and from Brisbane that takes 30 minutes. This airport is over 30 minutes away from the city by road. There are many options to get into the city from the airport. There are international car hire companies that rent cars after the normal procedure. Regular shuttles connect the city with the airport. If you wish, you could hire a taxi that is easily available outside the arrival exit. From Brisbane, the car journey would take close to 2 hours. The route is scenic and you will be tempted to stop along the way! The journey is about 3 hours from the gold coast. There are buses from Brisbane, but it will take about 3 hours as it stops along the way. The coach services pass through Cooroy, Tewantin and Maroochydore and connects with buses into Noosa. The Greyhound Australia has an extensive network around Australia. There are trains that arrive at Cooroy and you could take a taxi into Noosaville. It is about 20 minutes away. The trains service connects to Nambour, this is about 35 minutes away from the city center.
