Presentation of the destination

A British History

Perth, Australia, voted several times as one of the most livable cities in the world, was once a small British colony called the Swan River Colony. Perth wasn’t declared a city until 1856 by Queen Victoria. Before Perth was reborn as a city, it was inhabited for thousands of years by the native Whadjuk Noongar people. Once the land became a settlement to the Swan River Colony, the new inhabitants began harvesting the land and developing a civilized community. A town hall was open near the Swan River, as communications depended on water transport and the Swan River was accessible via the Fremantle sea port just 18 km away. Today, Perth remains a small city, with a population of just 20,000 people. The city still continues to grow, however, with businesses and companies claiming homes in Perth more and more often. Perth, Austria operates on the Australian Western Time Zone and accepts the Australian Dollar as currency. Perth is welcome to anyone, ready to share its natural beauty and growing community.

Perth Town Hall

The Perth Town Hall comes with a proud history. The building was originally scheduled to take one year to build, but was eventually completed in three years. The new Perth Governor had requested British convicts for the labor of building the Town Hall.
