Forever Beautiful Lahaina

Lahaina is located in beautiful Hawaii. It is known as the gateway to the famous beaches of Kaanapali and Kapalua beach. About 11,000 people have their residence in Lahaina, but during the peak of tourist season, there can be nearly 40,000 people living it up in Lahaina. This important city was officially the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii prior to its being moved to Honolulu. During the nineteenth century, it was center of the global whaling industry. Today this industry is no longer housed here. Instead, there are a number of sailing ships and pleasure crafts are anchored at the waterfront. Due to Lahaina’s popularity, it is home to some of the most expensive real estate opportunities in all of Hawaii.

Napili Beach

This delightful beach is relatively uncrowded. Given how popular the beaches in Hawaii can be, this can be a great asset during peak season. This beach offers great snorkeling opportunity. This is particularly true near the Napili Kai resort since the waters are very calm there. There are some local turtles that love to hang out near the south side. The picture opportunities here are numerous. Nearby there is an interesting garden full of a variety of local trees and flowers. The beach is kept very clean and there are a variety of restaurants to explore nearby. Napili beach is particularly great for kids to learn how to snorkel in. With calm and relatively shallow water, its great for the whole family. If you are driving, there is a small beach parking lot right near the rest rooms. The center of the beach has a delightful sandy front which makes for a great entry point to the water. Otherwise, you may need to bring your aqua socks since a few of the other places have rocks. There are lots of rocks and coral to explore with snorkeling. There are a number of hotels very close to the beach as well.

Warren & Annabelle's Magic

This amazing dinner show is a real delight. Its a total of four hours long and full of laugh out loud fun. You get to enjoy a delicious meal experience in an eclectic room full of tables, couches, and a variety of interesting collectables. The resident ghost of this delightful show is named Annabelle. She entertains the guests by taking requests on her grand piano. Once you’ve consumed the delightful meal, you’ll be treated to a two hour long show. The performance is truly world class. You will laugh and laugh at this magical show. Throughout the show you’ll get to enjoy a number of interactions between the audience and the performers. Included with your ticket is two cocktails of your price. You’ll want to make sure you you get those tickets at least a week in advance. This show is so popular that they fill up virtually every day of the week. Its important to note that the show is twenty one years and older, so those who are younger cannot participate.The magic tricks in this show are truly impressive. You will be left wondering how these impressive tricks are completed. Insider’s tip - bring some warm clothes to stay comfortable throughout the show.

Ka'anapali Beach

This beach is one of the highlights of Lahaina. The beachside is full of that classic beautiful Hawaii sand. There is a delightful paved walkway which follows the length of the beach. You can head over to the Whalers village shopping center which has a lot to explore. This center is primarily outdoors and includes a number of different buildings. You will find a bit of everything here including clothing and souvenir stores. There is also a large ABC store to explore. If you are looking for a quick and familiar bite, you can hit up Subway, Baskin Robbins, and the reasonably priced pizza place. If you make a purchase, be sure to get your parking validated so you don’t have to pay extra for parking. The beach here is great for whale watching as well as other water activities. The beach itself is kept very clean and the water temperature is always inviting. Be mindful of the tides as they can be quite forceful. If you want to spend some time just relaxing on the beach, consider renting a chair. They cost $10 and you can also grab an umbrella for $20. If you want to enjoy some water sports, there are a number of kiosks which you can rent from along the beachfront. From this beach you can see several adjoining islands which is absolutely stunning.

Old Lahaina Luau

If you are looking for an authentic Hawaiian Luau experience, this is the place. You’ll enjoy an evening full of traditional Hawaiian dining, music, and cultural demonstrations. Imagine having this unique experience all while enjoying an ocean view and beautiful sunset. All of this and more happens at Old Lahaina Luau. When booking your tickets, you will have the opportunity to select traditional seating or table seating. The traditional seating gives you an even more authentic experience and is recommended. The staff here are ready to help you in whatever ways they can. The show itself is truly awe inspiring. Banyan Tree Park

The Banyan Tree in Lahaina is famous throughout Hawaii. It is the largest of its kind in the islands. It was planted back in 1873. The original tree was brought to Hawaii all the way from India when it was a mere eight feet tall. Today the Banyan tree is a whopping sixty feet tall. It is in the middle of a public park. In the park, there are several different benches you can relax at and enjoy the shade of this gorgeous tree. During the evening, you will see a wonderful collection of different birds who call this tree their home. This species of tree is is very distinct with large branches and drop trunks. This massive Banyan has a total of fourteen different trunks, all of which are connected to each other. The entire tree actually takes up a full city block. It is truly a testament to the wonders of nature. It is conveniently located in the middle of Lahaina’s tourist district, so it is very easy to find and close to lots of different attractions. If you are touring the area with a car, you will want to park across the street from this hard to miss sight. You do not want to spend time at night in this park as it is sometimes the sight of bad and illegal behavior. During the day however, you should feel free to explore.

How to get there ?

To Maui We Go

The main airport in Maui in the Kahului Airport. It is the second biggest airport in the state of Hawaii. It is one of the hubs for Hawaiian Airlines. This company offers extensive inter-island services to all the major airports in the state. There are several major airline companies which provide non-stop service directly to Maui. Some of the cities you can grab this non-stop service are Anchorage, Calgary, Dallas, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Vancouver. To get to Lahaina from the Kahului Airport, you will exit the airport and head down route 380. Take this to the junction with route thirty. Next hang a left onto route thirty toward Lahaina. All those who depart from this airport and are headed toward mainland in the US, will have to have their baggage inspected by the department of agriculture. Fresh fruits, no counting pineapples and treated papayas, are not allowed to leave the islands. There are several smaller airports in maui including Kapalua and Hana. Most of these feature local or private airplane service. It can be challenging to get service to these airports, but they are there should you need them. As you fly into Maui, be sure to gaze out your window to get some beautiful views of this gorgeous island.
